Brow Design
Brow shaping begins with understanding the unique structure of your face, as factors like color, width, length, and height differ from person to person. We take precise measurements and make minor adjustments to your natural brows as needed. At Cosmétique, we focus on maintaining the integrity of our work and avoid following fleeting trends. Our goal is to enhance your existing brows through color enhancement and subtle symmetry adjustments. For more pronounced symmetry issues, we suggest considering Botox to achieve the best results.
Procedure
Once the desired brow shape is approved, your artist will apply a topical numbing cream to the brow area. At Cosmétique, we offer four different brow techniques. After assessing your skin and discussing your desired outcome, the artist will select the most appropriate technique for you.
Your brow color will be a custom blend designed to match your natural brow hair, keeping in mind that healed results will appear lighter for a more natural look. For redheads and blondes, the brow color is usually one to two shades darker than the existing hair.
Brow appointments typically last about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Using nanoneedles, we delicately deposit tiny pixels of color into the skin to create fine hair strokes or a soft shadow. Numbing is applied throughout the procedure to ensure your comfort. At Cosmétique, we prioritize your experience and strive to make it as positive as possible.
Healing
After the procedure, it's common to experience some sensitivity and redness in the brow area. Initially, the brows may look darker than anticipated, which can be surprising for those new to brow filling.
In the first 1-3 days, the brows will darken as the top layer of skin begins to heal. From days 4-7, the skin will start to shed naturally, so it's essential to avoid scratching or picking at the area. By days 8-14, the brows may appear lighter, especially for those with blonde or red hair. At this point, you can safely apply brow makeup.
Over the next 6 weeks, the color will gradually resurface as the deeper layers of skin continue to heal. Cosmétique will supply all the necessary product and materials for your healing process to ensure the best results. Regular cleansing and the application of healing balm will be required during this time.
Follow up
First-time brow appointments require a follow-up session to ensure optimal results. Given the complexity and delicacy of our skin, our artist uses a light technique to prevent scar tissue or overly dark outcomes. Healing is essential to maintain skin integrity, as brows can be darkened but never lightened.
Brows generally begin to fade after 18-24 months. Cosmétique requires a minimum of 18 months post-procedure for color refreshments.
